Immigration Points-based system to begin in September |

UK to introduce points systemThe United Kingdom will introduce a new system of immigration control with effect from September 2008. Routinely referred to as the 'points system' it is similar to the Australian procedure, where all new migrants will be rated on the type of job to be filled, qualifications and earnings. It also includes points for English language competence and the migrant's ability to support themselves and any dependents until they begin receiving their earned income. Rogue Immigration advisors spread false information |
||||
![]() |
We offer advice you can trustThe immigration process is riddled with complexity and constantly shifting criteria. Overseas Angels participate in regular training programmes to remain fully conversant in the latest government policies and procedures. To the unscrupulous profiteer, the intricacy of the immigration process has allowed them to issue misleading advice on government rules to suit their own ends. We are aware of some of our happy clients being approached in such a manner and ask you to always check with Overseas Angels or the Home Office if in any doubt. The UK Visa directorate state "We recognise that this is a problem. We advise all applicants seeking guidance to consult the website of the Border and Immigration Agency, where any changes to the requirements for care workers will be posted". Rogue advisors operating from around the world release hostile accusations on legitimate immigration sources. In our campaign to clamp down on illegal agents Overseas Angels has received an unprecedented level of support from the UK and international governments including the Philippines Embassy who stated it "does not authorize nor tolerate the harassment of any person by any third party". While the number of crooked immigration advisors make up a tiny minority — their actions are undermining the whole immigration system. Overseas Angels will continue to provide accurate immigration advice as they are legally allowed to do. By following legal, transparent procedures we are all making the immigration process safer, similar and more rewarding for all concerned. |
