Amimah from Kenya

Amimah had not been successful in coming to the UK and had been ripped off by a number of agencies before she came to us. She had the same troubles as Kimberley because she was already too old and the current laws were not yet in place.

Overseas Angels brought her to the UK, and she has since changed jobs several times to gain higher wages and we continue to complete the work permits each time. She did not want to do any training and just wished to be an ordinary nurse. She has a vocational calling to palliative care so we leave her in that section of the industry. She has to move around to try and get a higher wage, as without the training the employer cannot increase her salary in house. She is now with an employer in Gloucestershire who has hired all their overseas staff through us.
